Cluny House Gardens are situated on the A846 betweem Weem and Strathtay, the gardens are open from 10am - 6pm March through to October. These are delightful woodland gardens planted on a hillside with stunning views over the Strathtay valley, culitivated in 1950’s they specialise in Himalayan plants. Bolfrack Gardens, nr Kenmore on the A827 3 miles east of Aberfeldy,are renowned for their ornamental garden which has been there since the mid 18th century and the stream garden.  The gardens are planted on a hillside with views over the Tay valley and are open between April – October, there is an entrance fee. www.bolfracks.com Tel: 01887 829522

Hercules Garden at Blair Castle, Blair Atholl is well sign posted off the A9, 6 miles north of Pitlochry.  Tickets can be bought just to go round the grounds, which includes Hercules Garden and Diana’s Grove; both were designed in the mid 18th century by the 2nd Duke of Atholl.  Hercules Garden is a magnificent walled garden of some 10 acres and it has a colourful herbaceous bed running the entire length of the south-facing wall. There is also an excellent collection of conifers in nearby Diana's Grove featuring some of the country's tallest and finest trees. Explorers Garden, Pitlochry is one of Scotland’s newest and  most adventurous gardens, built in conjunction with the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh.  The garden is a celebration of the unsung hero’s of the plant -hunters and information on these men can be found within the gardens; giving Indiana Jones a run for his money!  The garden also has unusual building structures which promote the sustainable use of timber.  Entrance fee and family tickets, dogs welcome on leads.
